My Name is Khan, saga of controversies for too little

My Name is Khan hit the theatres across India on 12th December 2010. The movie is a decent presentation which narrates the life of innocent Muslims post 9/11. Shahrukh Khan as the main protagonist who suffers from asparagus syndrome has added emotional appeal to the whole narrative. Despite of all the fuss surrounding the whole movie, it offers little reality. Most of the time it is the cocktail or fun and innocence created around the character of Rizwan Khan which creates the forced entertainment. This is not the first offering where bollywood talks about the life of common people. However, this is one of those rare occasions when a top star has played the act of common man. In fact, there have been many other movies which have presented the life of  Post 9 / 11 muslims in more better manner.

Frankly speaking John Abraham starrer New York which touches the same topic in more real manner is way ahead of My Name is Khan. But thanks to the ilk of politicians like Bala Saheb Thackerey who have brought undeserving attention to the movie. God knows that from where the director got the idea that a person suffering from asparagus syndrome can be a subject of entertainment.. This movie is meant only for die hard Shahrukh Khan fans and followers. City bred youths may also like the movie, but for rest of the people it is wastage of money and time.
