Maharashtra Budget is one of the most awaited budgets in India after the national budget. This year the budget of the state is going to be presented on 25th march 2010. The whole text and data plus the speech of the minister would be available on the website of the finance department of the Governement of Maharashtra. However, prior to the budget the government has already increased the VAT on 94 items. It would be really tricky to find out what else is going to be increased in the Budge. People want relief from sky rocketing prices but it seems that it is highly unlikely to happen in this budget.
