Union Minister for Tourism Shri Subodh Kant Sahay has generated bright hope among the unemployed youth of India by saying that there is possibilities of creating job of 2.5 crore, both direct and indirect, during the period of 12th Five year Plan. Minister further said , hospitality industry is in need of around 2 lakh trained candidates every year but there is hardly 18000 trained people available for this industry, which gets further reduced to about 12000 persons due to regular attrition.
Government by the end of 11th Five year plan has tried its best to expand the hospitality education through Universities, Colleges, ITIs, Polytechnics and Schools. It is expected that such steps will increase the supply of trained persons in a major way in the coming years. This is good news for those who are looking forward to make career in Hospitality Industry , but hesitating due to uncertainty.
