The Ministry of Railway is going to introduce Yuva Train   for unemployed youths between Mumbai and Delhi on 12th of January 2010. The train will be devoid of any sleeper and the cost of traveling between Mumbai and Delhi would be Rs. 299. Although, the fact is there is provision for concession of tickets and special railway passes which are issued by the Railways to the students and Job Applicants (Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe). This is first time that a train service has been dedicated for unemployed youths between the age group of 18 to 45 years. People who want to get the benefit must have a certificate issued under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act or a registration card issued by a government employment exchange. The mehod adapted by the Railway Ministry to  identify the status of employment or un employment of a youth can be a subject of contention and controversy.
