SSC, Staff Selection Commission had conducted written test on 13th of December 2009 for the recruitment of Tax Assistants in Income Tax and Central Excise department. The written test was followed by skill tests of short listed cnadidates. Now finally the commission has announced the names of 84o candidates who made into the final selection list. Out of the 840 candidates 562 has been recommended for CBDT  and 278 has been recommended for CBEC. In total 2174 candidates appeared in the skill test which was conducted by SSC in the first week of March 2010.
