The written part of the Tax Assistant (Income Tax and Central Excise) (CBDT / CBEC) Examination was conducted on 13th December 2009. It is normal for candidates who are serious about this job to know about their chances of getting selected in the second round of the selection process. Those candidates who have fair chances of getting selected in the exam must keep preparing for the skill test as results are going to be published after few months in the year 2010. Here we have provided the written cut off marks of Tax Assistant Exam of 2008 and it is very much expected that even this year the cut off marks will hover around at the same point. Off course difference of  5 to 10 percent is always expected. Last year the cut off marks for schedule caste category was 146 marks, Other Backward Caste Category was 148 marks, for General Category it was 150 marks and for Schedule Tribe it was 120marks.
