Pushpam Sinha the perpetrator of gruesome murder of the Naga girl from Manipur, Ramchamphy Hongrey in Munirka, New Delhi is a perfect case of psychological disorder. According to the reports published in local media at Patna, Pushpam’s father is a retired engineer; his mother is a retired doctor. He belongs to a well to do family and most shocking fact is that he is a married man. Although, the marriage never worked out and his wife lives at her father’s place.
Right now the media is busy in propagating theories that how a highly educated and academically successful person can commit such kind of crime. However, the facts are corroborating completely different theory as Pushpam never got any decent employment and whatever work he did was nothing but low paying, prospect less engagement. He passed his engineering from Moti lal Nehru Regional Engineering College. Before going to Delhi for his PHD at IIT he worked as a trainee with Bajaj Auto for 11000 Rs and later on joined a private engineering college for only 12000 Rs. Pushpam was habitual offender or not; only police can prove that. But the current information clearly reflects that he was excessively concerned about his failures in life specially the failures that he had with the opposite sex. He is a perfect case of stressed out man who goes mad and becomes a burden of the society. One of the most salient facts that come out of the present case is that he might not be sent to gallows as he might get success in proving that he is a mentally deranged man.
