There are places from all around the world and specially South Asian and South East Asian countries from where people mostly youngsters come and study in Australia. Living as a student in Australia is comparatively easier than living in United States of America or United Kingdom. However, in Australia there is legal requirement that a student must have access to funds of at least $12000 per year to meet his expenditure needs in the country. In fact this requirement is going to be increased to $18000 per annum from 1st January 2010. If student wants to bring his partner / spouse to Australia the minimum fund access would increase to $18000+$6500 per annum. For the first child the fund access requirement would increase to $18000+$6500+$3600 and for each additional child fund requirement would increase by $2700. Please note that all the students studying in Australia are not allowed to bring their spouse and children and any such permission is granted on the basis of grading of the Study Visa by the immigration department of Australia.
