There are many books dedicated to help people for getting success in interviews. However, what I am going to share with you a success plan which can be of a great help. What I am going to share with you is answers for some very common questions in the interview:
1.)Â Â Â Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
There are several answers for this question like I am sure that I would be holding some senior position in the company. This answer will only reflect your desperation to get promotion. In case you apply for a fixed tenure job and talk about promotion then it would be ridiculous. The best answer in my opinion is that you should elaborate that you would continue in the current industry and most likely play leadership role in future.
        2) What is leadership for you?
Answering this question requires some decent reading of quality personality development books. I can provide one of the best answers- Leader is someone who can play balancing act in the team and help workers in coordinating with their individual self, Goal of the team and other team members, He or she must also have all the qualities of a top class professional and must be capable of presenting himself or herself as a role model.
       3) Why you chose this career?
Most of the time candidates commit the blunder of talking about the scope of career in a particular area. But it would be better to concentrate on the learning and experiences of your academics and personal life and how the knowledge gained from those experiences can help you in getting success.
4)Â Â Â Â Â Why are you leaving your present job?
First of all don’t criticize your present employer, second don’t act stupid by saying that you like your present employer very much and you haven’t got any problem with them. After all, there is some problem that’s why you are leaving the job. So what would be your answer? In my opinion you must gain some factual knowledge about the company and job profile you are applying for, once you have that knowledge you can talk about the better opportunities that you can get with the new employer and how those opportunities are not available in the present company.
5) What is your expected Salary?
Don’t hesitate in quoting figures but don’t argue. It would be better to have advance information about the general salary offered in a job profile you apply for. Don’t quote too low or too high from the prevailing trends.
