In recent times MBA degree has become indispensable for success in professional world. Even those people who are self employed or already working in the corporate sector. feel the need of doing MBA. IGNOU , Indira Gandhi National Open University is one such brand which attracts very high number of candidates for MBA course. Good thing about the MBA from IGNOU is that it selects candidates on the basis of entrance test and there is requirement of work experience before an individual could get enrollment in the MBA course. The course structure is very well structured and it would not be possible for everyone to complete the course. However, despite of tough course structure it would be better if students don’t over expect any sort of real professional uplift in their career as most of the prominent organizations look down upon correspondence MBA and some of the organizations specially the Public Sector Units specifically mention in their job advertisements that the correspondence MBA pass outs would not be considered for most of the positions which are offered to Regular MBA pass outs. Its really cruel that correspondence MBA’s are not valued by the government PSUs, but the government funded organisation like IGNOU  is the biggest player in promoting the correspondence MBA course.
