Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment – University Entry BE / B Tech

Indian Navy has invited applications for recruitment in Short Service Commission (University Entry) from unmarried Engineering Graduates (Male / Female). The training course for this Entry would commence from July 2011.

Eligibility:

NOTE: Unmarried Female candidates are eligible for Logistic Cadre (Administrative Branch) only.

Age: Candidate should have been born between 2nd July 1987 and 1st July 1992.

Educational Qualification:     The candidate should be doing BE / B Tech from recognized university with 60%  Marks, till 6th Semester of the course. Candidates who are in their 8th Semester or who have completed their engineering degree need not apply.

Details of Vacancy:

The recruitment would be done for Technical Branch and Administrative Branch. The complete details of streams of Engineering Course for which the openings are available is given in the official notification, which can be accessed from www.nausena-bharti.nic.in

Physical Requirements:

Height : 157 cm ( Male) , 152 cm ( Female) with proportionate weight

Eye sight:

  1. Technical Branch – 6/24 , 6/24 : with Spectacles 6/6
  2. Administrative Branch General duty – 6/12, 6/12 : with Spectacles 6/6
  3. Logistic Cadre (Administrative Branch) – 6/60, 6/60 : with Spectacles 6/6, 6/12 .Candidate must not suffer from night blindness.

Service Conditions: The initial tenure of Short Service Commission is 10 years which can be increased by 4 years depending on the performance of the officer.

Salary :The initial salary of Sub Lieutenant is in the pay scale of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 + Grade Pay Rs 5400 + Military service Pay Rs. 6000.
