Mamata Banerjee announced the 10 year plan vision 2020 while presenting the Railway Budget 2010. She elaborated on Public Private partnership for the improvement of railways. Some of the highlights are availabilty of reservaition staus on SMS , on the same pattern SMS  status of freight. She also made announcement that  Rs. 1300 crore has been alloted for passenger amenities. The minister also promised introduction of  RFID technology to be used in freight trasport. Railway is also planning  to complete 1000 Kms of lines in one year . The minsiter also promised  6 bottling plants at different locations in India with private partnership. There was not any  announcement on increase in  freight transport charges. Very soon the railways is going to introduce 117 new trains in all over India.
