GATE is one of the toughest exams, which require intense study and dedication. This exam is organized by the IITs and IISc for admission to all the post-graduate courses (engineering). Depending on the university and the institution which design these courses, it is offered as M.E., M.Tech. and M.S. There are many advantages for those candidates who qualify the GATE Entrance Test. - GATE-qualified candidates are also eligible for the award of Junior Research Fellowship in CSIR laboratories and CSIR-sponsored projects.
- Toppers in some GATE papers are entitled to apply for “Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Fellowship” awarded by CSIR.
- Some government organization demand GATE Score for the post of Scientist or Engineer.
- GATE qualification is mandatory in some institutions for admission of self-financing students to postgraduate programmes.
