Fresher Jobs for Apprentice Engineer in Indian Oil Corporation, Apply Online January 2010

Indian Oil Corporation has announced the job requirements of  Engineers / Graduate Apprentice Engineers for the year 2010. The total number of vacancies offered by Indian Oil Corporation is 200. The application processing wil be done online on the website of IOC from 11th January 2010. Engineering Degree holders from AICTE recognized institutes and universities in following disciplines can only apply for this job.

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering (Including Electronics and instrumentation engineering but excluding  electronics and communication engineering / Telecommunication Engineering)
  • Mechanical Engineering ( Excluding Production, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering)
  • Metallurgical Engineering.

Students of final year who are expected to pass their engineering course before 31st July 2010 and expected to score above 65 percent (minimum eligibility for IOL) can also apply for the job.

How to Apply?

Candidates who want to apply for IOL as an engineer must apply for GATE, as the score of GATE is used for selecting the candidates for the next round. Candidates must take the test of GATE in one of the following subjects:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
