Appropriate choice of dress plays a crucial role in getting success in any interview. Although, you may meet people who claim that they don’t judge on the basis of appearance but the fact is human mind has been culturally trained to judge on the basis of appearance. As far as our body is concerned there is nothing special we can do about it except keeping our posture in appropriate position and maintaining right hygiene. So straight away we are jumping to the topic and that is choosing the right dress, slippers / shoes for the interview.
As far as fabric is concerned cotton is highly preferred as it doesn’t give any subtle sign to the interviewers on the basis of which they can judge your potential.
Always choose light and dark combination. Light color should be worn on upper body while dark color is preferred for lower body.
Girls should avoid wearing the dresses which are uncomfortable and wear only those outfits which they can carry with grace. It would be better not to wear excessively printed attires.
Girls must wear slipper in case of Indian outfit. However, they should prefer shoe over slippers in case of western attires.
Boys should avoid attires with excessive print designs, wearing T-shirt is a strict no. Sports shoes should be avoided and good quality leather shoes must be worn in the interview.
Shoes must be well polished and shining as most of the interviewers take notice of your footwear to judge your tidiness.
