Delhi Police has invited applications for recruitment in the posts of Head Constable in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 (GP 2400). The vacancies exist for Head constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Teleprinter Operator) and Head Constable (Ministerial). Details of vacancies are following:
Head constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Teleprinter Operator)
Vacancies: UR 71, OBC 50 , SC 17, ST 4, Departmental 16 (UR 8, OBC 6, SC 2)
Education: 10+2 with Science and Mathematics or NTC in Mechanic cum Operator Electronic communication System. English Typing Speed of 30 wpm on computer.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 1st January 2013
Physical Standard:
Male height: 170cm, Chest 81 cm with 5 cm expansion
Female height: 157 cm
Head Constable (Ministerial)
Vacancies: 96 (UR 48, OBC 14, Sc 32, ST 2)
Education: 10+2 or equivalent, Speed in English typing of 30 wpm or Hindi typing speed of 25 wpm
Age: 18 to 25 years as on 1st January 2013
Physical Standard:
Male Height 165 cm with chest 78cm and 5 cm expansion
Female height: 157 cm
Physical Efficiency Test:
Male candidates would be required to run 1600 m in 7 minutes after qualifying this test they would be required to appear in long jump (12.5 ft) and high jump (3.5 ft)
Female candidates would be required to complete 800m race in 5 minutes, long jump of 9ft and high jump of 3ft.
Those candidates who will qualify the PET will have to appear in written test and typing test.
