The highlights of the National Code to check the Age Fraud in Sports are following:

• This New Code would be implemented from 1st April, 2010 and shall be binding upon all athletes and sports bodies.
• All new and existing players participating in age restricted tournaments will be required to once undergo a compulsory medical examination for age determination,
• Once verified, all the sports person participating in age group tournament would be issued an identity card by Sports Authority of India (SAI)/ National Sports Federation ( NSFs) .
• Compliance with the Code will become part of the eligibility criteria for recognition of National Sports Federations by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
